A Bad Look Forward Is Better Then Nothing

At Least An Alcoholic Has Something to Look Forward To
Isn’t looking forward to things what keeps life interesting and emotionally good for us? And Yes even if the thing isn’t good for us. Like for example consuming too much of the grape. I’m using the grape example because I’ve enjoyed its taste and affect on numerous occasions in my life. I even went so far as to ferment my own patch of sweet tasting wine and with the company of friends we all enjoyed the patch. Even today I still hear the words when’s the next patch going to be ready? I’m trying to convince my wine tasting friends to each create their own concoction and then we can each offer an occasion of sipping and enjoying the words of togetherness. This idea is still under consideration by all involved.
Always Look Forward to Something
The point I’m attempting to make is that something to look forward is better then just doing the same mundane routine every day. Everyone must create things to look forward to and you’ll be amazed how easy that is achieved when you start working at it. My neighbor is retired and sees little need to go any where except maybe to the doctor or the grocery store. His wife and I share thoughts once in awhile while passing each other doing outside yard activities. She said one day that her husband only wants to sit and watch the TV. I said I know of what you speak because once for a short time that person was me. I said I cured myself by writing a list of things that required leaving the house for my wife and myself. Actually I created three lists one for me, my wife and for both of us to do together. I told her I was amazed how many activities we could enjoy together or separately.
Got the Ok Sign
Months later during one of my walks they drove by and she gave me the ok signal and smiled. I smiled back and waved.
Looking Forward Is Always Good for You
The moral of my story is this its better to do something even if your doctor says its not good for you, rather then doing nothing. Today I’m looking forward to my friends and some wine sharing talk and if I could I would invite you. Be well and always look forward to doing things.
